INFORMATION
The Quik-Stitch Endoscopic
Suturing System delivers a secure pre-tied intracorporeal locking Roeder
knotduring complex laparoscopic procedures. The system enhances the surgeons
ability to control the placement and tightness of a knot; while simultaneously
managing tissue approximation, tieing off ducts and vessels of all sizes
by either stitching or looping with exact precision and confidence. The reduction in procedure time and ability to deliver the knot through one or two ports makes the system unique. A fast and secure result is obtained by attaching the suture spool with pre-tied knot to the Applicator. The Needle-Driver assists in introducing the needle and suture to the surgical site, passing the needle through tissue or around a vessel or duct, and then drawing the needle and suture into the Applicator. By squeezing the spring-loaded Applicator, the surgeon then releases and sets the knot, advancing it forward for desired tissue approximation or tightness. The suture is cut above the knot and the device removed and reloaded for another quick delivery. The Quik-Stitch System is reusable and versatile, with a minimal amount of waste. It is available with absorbable and non-absorbable sutures (0/0, 2/0, 3/0), with straight, curved or blunt needles. The 5mm Applicator and 2.1mm Needle-Driver are guaranteed for two years and available in several lengths. The 10mm and 12mm Applicators are also under a two-year warrantee but allow the surgeon to utilize their preferred needle driver. A single use 3mm applicator with 1.5mm reusable needle driver is being released. All US and European regulatory clearances have been obtained.
